Crew from the Liao Yu 8 also said: their passport was kept by the captain, they suffered physical abuse (kicking and hitting) by the captain's right hand man, being forced to work despite being sick, crew only got to rest for an hour on busy days, only eating 2 meals a day, that the drinking water was distilled sea water for everyone (including the captain), being paid a salary of 300 USD/month.
