      1. The South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (SPRFMO) informed Chinese authorities in October 2018 that the Yan Yu 658 was suspected of engaging in unregistered fishing activities in international waters in the Southeast Pacific. Chinese internal investigation revealed that the vessel was scrapped in 2017 and that the vessel's certificate has been cancelled. Chinese authorities replied to
        SPRFMO
         with the information and with a suggestion that the vessel of interest should be listed as a stateless illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing vessel.
